Would actually be a somewhat clever post if you understood the concept of a soft launch. Here is the 411:

Sprint normally launch phones (aside from "high profile" phones such as the Pre and Instinct) a few days before the actual launch. The Snap and Exclaim have been available since Thurs (which is how I ordered my Snap from Sprint yesterday). Assuming how knowledgeable the sales rep at the local Sprint Store are on Sprint's policies, you could have bought the Exclaim as of yesterday (assuming it arrived in inventory).

i purchased an exclaim from BB on tues, for my daughter they had them in stock for a few days proir...phone seems ok, has the 1 click, i thought the slider was going to feel flimsy, but its a good solid phone. very nice looking for a entry-level phone, should be a decent selling phone for teenage group. any questions about the phone just ask

Do you think the Exclaim is about the same thickness as the Rant?, or perhaps slightly thinner?/thicker?; (considering you have seen and held the Rant, that is.)

=)

I didn't play with one extensively, but it seemed thicker than the Rant. The screen on that phone is huge though!

Your last question, about threaded text messaging, has been answered a few times throughout the Samsung Discussion forums... in case you might have missed the answer... Yes it does have threaded text messaging. Yes it does, it is almost, if not, exactly like the threaded text messaging on the Rant (from what I have seen online; videos & pictures). So yes, it does in fact have threaded text messaging. Screen quality, well I haven't seen the phone myself but since it has a large screen the quality should be amazing. But thats my opinion.

All I did was play with the sliding function and just played around for about two seconds with OneClick. Didn't do much with it after that.

Picked one up Thursday from a Sprint store, called them and was able to purchase even though it was not on the floor yet.

The screen is great. I converted a Lost in Space avi to 3gp for my son, it was fantastic in 320x240. They removered the ext speaker from the rear and the head piece speaker is for both ph calls and ext speaker, sounds great.

Ssssooo!!! The Samsung Exclaim is now available on the Sprint.com website as well as the LG LX370. Anddd also, it seems they are trying to get rid of the first generation Instincts, as they are now 49.99 with two year contract..!! Wow! if only it didnt need that plan.!!

It's up for online ordering now:
http://nextelonline.nextel.com/NASAp...SKU=SPHM550ZKS

I was expecting this to be a bit more competitively priced toward other messaging phones around $50 (Pantech Matrix)
