Question How to end emergency callback mode?

I called 911 to report a road hazard and now my Blackberry Pearl is locked up in "emergency callback mode" and I am miles from my owner's manual. Probably a simple reset but I can't find it--can someone please help? THanks.

Ok, I knew it was going to be obvious....it ended automatically when I made a regular call. However until that point it didn't let me send text, connect to the web, or receive messages.....wish I had known about this up front

I think I heard about that somewhere else. It keeps the line clear in case 911 had to call back or you had to call them.

I think I saw somewhere else there was a non-blackberry that did that, it was like a 5 minute delay or something and it clears.

I have never called 911 on my berry......

I have a plain Sanyo, and the only way to exit emergency mode is via the emergency mode options.

(options > end emergency mode)

this "feature" is a worthless pain in the butt, 1st if all i have inadvertently called 911 over a dozen times in less than that many days. how do i get rid of this damn thing? it just went into lock up mode and i had to pull the damn battery to get it fixed, dialing another didn't work.

My blackberry came out of Emergency-mode by pressing # * (send).
Now, if I can figure out how to get my HTC Evo out of Emergency-Mode....

Look in the options for "end emergency mode"
