Hi,

Are you guys using Google Voice Mobile instead of Grandcentral Mobile?

I can't place phone calls using Google Voice Mobile... Any tips?

The SMS feature is really cool but how can we initial an sms from our mobile? I can only reply when I get one...

You can place an outgoing call by dialing your GC number and then dialing the number you wish to call.

Wow... That's a cool new feature. We just call our gv number+select option2...
So we don't need to use the mobile website any more? That's how I use2initial fone calls.

I was given the option2upgrade2gv when I logged into my gc account...

Google will notify you when your Grancentral account is ready for upgrade.

So how does it work? Can you call any number now or is it still only numbers in your address book? What options does it give you?

If your calling from your cell :

Dial your GV number
Then option 2
then dial the number you are calling, ring ring that it (any Number you dial)

Big issue is that if you have over 300 numbers like i do? at this point no way to access contacts quickly. There was a app sold for iphone, grandialer which used be able to access the contacts also.

*Mods there is a thread already started in the news area, maybe blend them?

Matt , i have 2 accounts both 201 area codes one took 2 days longer to give me the opportunity to upgrade which i thought was odd , i personally think its worth the wait.

the dial out feature works very well!!!! so the number can be used a lot more than with the old grandcentral. Getting an sms to 4 phones is also very cool

Also being able to call Australia for 2c a minute from my cell another great feature.

My other GC numbers are still not able to upgrade.

I'm sure the beta opened to a few thousand customers and Google is reviewing and fixing the bugs before they let more people in.
