Verizon 3G Updates and My Sprint Phone/PRL

Hi everyone, this post actually addresses two separate issues.

First off, when I had my old Katana DLX with PRL 60613 and i would go over to my Girlfriends house, I would roam on Verizon. Driving around in that general area would cause me to roam on Verizon as needed.

With my Lotus and PRL 60614, it seems that US Cellular takes precedence now over Verizon. This would be fine, however you will see why in my second issue I do not like this new change.

Is it possible to downgrade BACK to PRL 60613 from 60614 on my Lotus?

Now my second issue. Verizon Wireless bought Unicel, a small GSM carrier in this neck of the woods. They have changed over Unicels GSM antennas to CDMA. Which now means Verizons coverage at my gf's house and general area has become great. Problem is, my phone always takes to the US cellular signal since i assume the PRL says to take the US cellular signal over Verizon.

With Verizons new network coverage, they have also brought there 3G speeds here as well. Will access to this 3 G network become available to me in the future with a PRL update or is roaming not available on 3G networks? Thank you for any help and advice.

Do you think they ever would iron one out, or is this something that cell companies dont do?

Companies do it. Alltel and Sprint have EVDO roaming agreements. Its just not something that Sprint and Verizon have done.

Cool. Maybe since Verizon purchased Alltel, the agreements will be put into place network wide...not that Verzion has much of a 3G network anyways.

Does anyone know the answer to my first question about downgrading a PRL?

More likely Verizon will cancel the roaming agreement Sprint and Verizon had and Sprint will release PRL's in accordance with the new roaming agreements eg. with USCellular

You think Verizon would really drop roaming with Sprint nationwide? That would be to bad.
