Official "I HAVE THE PRO IN MY HANDS" Thread

I just got back from BB Mobile in NYC and have my hands on the Touch Pro! The guys there took forever and I didn't even get the phone activated. They were completely confused.

I did get the 20% discount and initially asked for a coupon but I told them it was on the RewardsZone site and took the discount manually. Bring the print out of the page with you just in case.

I'm going to get the phone activated in a few minutes.

Any questions?

It cost me $260 after taxes. I'm going to use the SEP 450 plan instead. I might as well since I didn't have a texting plan before on my A900.

I tried to activate this thing online but it says that the IMEI number is invalid. Looks like I'm going to call Sprint for this.

Do you mind taking a shot comparing the thickness of the phone to something else?

Sprint's website says that the Diamond is .6 inches while the Pro is only .71

idk, doesn't sound like much of a difference at all on paper, but how does it look in person? feel in the hand? compared to maybe the Diamond or other phone you've held

It's been noted a few times. You'll need to sign up as a member but it's free.

It's pretty small in your hand. The screen seems to wobble a bit but I'll have to start really using it to see if affects the phone. This "wobble" is only when the screen is closed. When the screen is up, it feels fine.

This is my first WinMo phone. I've been waiting forever for a high end phone that is fairly small footprint. It's not bad really. It's definitely smaller than the other HTC PPC phones with a sliding keyboard out there now. I'm not bothered by the thickness as I thought I would be. I'll write up some more insights on this in the coming days.

The thickness is less than 2 stacked CD jewel cases:

Sprint did get rid of the capacitive buttons on the bottom for home, talk, hang up and back. They are actual buttons.

The d-pad is still the same.

Is that price for new customers only? Or do I need to sign a new contract?
