[Centro] New Colors Coming

I just saw a tread on here with two new colors for the Centro. It is coming in Rose and Green. They are scheduled to be launched 10/19.

I really like the rose! I don't understand why we need pink and rose they should have went with purple!!

I like the Rose and I liked the Pink as well, but I'll stick with my black Centro because it looks stylish and professional. The colored Centros look like toys. Now if they ever get the dark blue like Verizon has I'll be all over it!

Anyone have anymore info on these? Is the 19th the axtual release date or anyone have one of the new colors in hand already?

and besides the new colors, mobileburn is reporting that these centros also have more internal memory than their predecessors: from 64MB to 128MB.

I'm assuming only the new colors will have the internal memory boost? Bummer.

Ok, so I did some digging and it appears that Sprint is phasing out the current red and pink Centros. They'll be adding the rose and green colored ones, and keeping the black Centro. According to the Palm website, the three continued models (rose, green, and black) will all have 128mb internal memory instead of the 64mb. It appears that Sprint is the only carrier that will get the improved internal memory capacity for the Centro.

I noticed that too when I went to the palm site. I guess red and pink were limited editions. I'm still hoping for a purple when (of if) they make Centro 2.

looks like these new centros, including that upcoming new black centro, will also all have the new soft-touch finish.
