Touch with 6.1 - all of a sudden GPS is not working!

GPS was working like a champ since I did the upgrade, but now it's gone!
Multiple soft-resets have done nothing to bring it back.
Doesn't work in GoogleMaps, Live Search, or TomTom (with GPS Toggle).
Any ideas?
Thanks!

Mine is still hit or miss with the "official sprint rom". It's more unreliable than my LG Fusic's GPS back in the day.

I agree. It is hit or miss. Seems like sometimes it just keeps searching when I use Live Search.

knock on wood....

mine has gotten a secure lock in under 10 seconds every single time on MS Live, Sprint Nav, and Google Maps. I've never had a better GPS and I have had 3 other phones with GPS on them.

thank you pocket pc gods.

did you install anything before it stopped working? uninstall it if you have. wish i could help more.

Zero problems here, I've been running GPS with the test rom and now the leaked rom.

Mine was having issues, so I re-ran the ppst.exe file in the Windows folder. This seems to have fixed it. For those of you who are new to this (never had a cooked ROM), that was how we used to update/improve the GPS antenna.

I just found a PPST file in the Windows folder. I clicked it, but it didn't look like anything happened. Any tricks?

Son of a gun! I guess it did do something!
I just did a soft reset, and when it woke up, it did the whole "data provisioning" thing again.
Fired up GoogleMaps and got a supe fast lock on 6 satellites indoors!
Thanks Fish - that totally reset the GPS for me!

A word of caution: I ran ppst and lost my provisioning. Ended up having to call Customer Service to get things back on line.

Back to screwed.

Having to do the PPST/reboot every time to get GPS to work. I'm thinking of going back to the brick of a Mogul (that at least works) until the Treo is out (or the official official 6.1 that hopefully will address all this bugginess).

Sprint Nav not even starting...

I did the 6.1 update, and on the today screen where the quick launch icons are (phone, music store, sprint nav, and sprint tv), if I push the Sprint Nav nothing happens. It doesn't even load the application. The other icons work, just not this one.
Anyone have this issue or know any sort of resolution?

Thank you!

James

It works here, but then I had already subscribed to to Sprint Navigation before I got the Touch.

Run the 6.1 up-date again. They say u should run it twice so everything works right. That same thing happened to me and opera didn't load . so I ran it again!!!

Has this been resolved in any way? I have the same issue. GPS worked great on my Touch when I was running the leaked ROM. I was always able to get a lock in under a minute. Now, with the official ROM anytime I want to use GPS I have to run PPST and soft-reset manually. GPS will then work for the next few hours or as long as I keep a GPS program running. Anything later and I have to do the whole PPST-reset thing.
