Sprint Instinct Will Work on Sero Plans--Phonedog

Taken from Phonedog

Check this out ... I just got word that Sprint's soon to be released flagship device, the Samsung Instinct, will be available for use with SERO plans. That sound you hear is the faint but hearty applause of in-the-know Sprint subscribers cheering. For those who don't know, SERO is the Sprint Exclusive Referral Offer and it offers siginificant savings as compared to regular Sprint plans.
I don't have details yet regarding pricing, or how Sprint's going to work Instinct extras like Sprint TV into their current SERO offerings, or if there will be a new, Instinct-only, SERO plan. But I can tell you that someone in a position to know (trust me) told me that Instinct will work with SERO and that Sprint employees will learn the details before the device becomes available. We're still looking at June 20th for Instinct availability, btw. And I could NOT get any confirmation on the rumored $199 after rebate Instinct price point that's been floating around the Web for the past week or so.
So that's good news for all you cheapo Sprint subscribers who just gotta getta Instinct, right? Just for the sake of sparking some wild predictions, here's what we do know about rate plan pricing:
Sprint has announced that Instinct will require activation on a Simply Everything plan. Currently there are three tiers of Simply Everything: 450 minutes for $69.99/mo, 900 minutes for $89.99, and unlimited minutes for $99.99. The plans also include unlimited messaging and data, though there's been a wee bit of controversy surrounding just what "unlimited data" may or may not mean (personally I don't think there's much to worry about unless you're planning to hack your Instinct to host a bit torrent farm).

SERO also offers three voice plans, all of which include unlimited text and data. 500 minutes on SERO? $30/month. 1250 minutes? $49.99/mo. And unlimited minutes? Sorry, that's $99.99 just like the regular plan. But still, the 500 and 1250 minute plans offer more minutes at a whopping $40 less per month than the two cheapest Everything options. Dude, that's like a no-brainer.
Like I said, I don't know if the current SERO pricing will hold for Instinct, and I don't know anything about Sprint TV, Sprint Radio, or other Instinct features under SERO. And this isn't public, so for all I know it'll change before launch day. But as of right now I've got word from someone I trust that Instinct + SERO = Yes! And that's a good thing.

Instinct working on SERO

I will confirm this as i'm currently using the Instinct on my SERO $30 plan. Its certainly a happy day for me besides paying $490 for the god damn phone.

Here is the proof for all the doubters
