What is "Iconnect?"

I'm not a Sprint Employee. But they have screwed up my account so much they gave me an employee account. So naturally, I called regarding the release date for the new M800 Instinct and they told me I could only order the phone using "Iconnect."

What does that mean?

It is an internal system only Sprint Employees have access to.

Why would they give you an "Employee Only" account? If you can't access Iconnect, you can't upgrade your phone. I would call account services and get that changed right away.

For $40 a month I get near unlimited usage. I've never gone over my anytime minutes once. Internet and text messages included. Are you crazy?

I just need some help with iconnect.

Can I pay retail and activate my phone?

You can pay full retail.....but most stores won't sell phones at full retail, as they don't make any money on the phone unless it gets activated in the store.

Just an FYI. Being that it is an employee account, retail stores wont even touch the account.

you wont get any access to iconnect, first off you have to be in the store, as it is an INTRANET site, secondly you have to be an employtt

Interesting...but $40 is no where near an employee account pricing...as I type, I have 2 $0 lines active on my employee plan.

i-Connect (That's how it's spelled) used to be Nextel Care's database of all things Nextel.

Last April a lot of the "articles" in I-connect were moved to KMS (Sprint's knowledge base, KMS stands for Knowledge Management System by the way) at that time i-Connect became a depository for tools, and simply links to a bunch of other tools but does nothing beyond that.

i-Connect can only be accessed on the company intranet or via VPN from a store, you must also have a login specific to that system, usually the users Enterprise Login ID (ELID)

Customers do not and will not ever have access to it.

If you have an employee account call and speak to Employee Care (Employee accts have a dedicated group due to employees accessing each other's being a fraud issue) and tell them you are not an employee and you need to have your acct type changed to "Individual-Individual" and they will take care of it.

Employee Accounts:
866-250-2221
888-876-8381

ONLY EMPLOYEE CARE CAN HANDLE EMPLOYEE ACCOUNTS, that's why the agent you talked to brushed you off.

It sounds like he might be on SERO and got a confused rep that didnt know what was going on and thought the SERO plan was a Wireless Advantage Club plan. WAC plans can only be activated through iConnect and upgrades and replacements can only be ordered through iConnect. On a Sprint Employee Rate Plan, you do everything over the phone with employee telesales.

The regular one is, but their might be some other, that's the only thing I can think of because SERO is only 30, other than the real outside possibility he got set up on some sort of paid demo plan, I've seen stranger.

EDIT:
The regular RS plan isn't unlimited either.
