WinMo Samsung ace finally application unlocked! in 3 easy steps!

After messing with this phone for hours i got it to a one tier prompt. I was told by Brettw to leave a disclaimer like your samsung ace might get damaged during the process of unlocking. I hope you all enjoy the unlocked phone and bring peace to the samsung ace community.

The first thing you want to do is go to the website. http://developer.sprint.com/show_thr...threadid=25821
.Download the samsung ace certificate zip file on the page and place the .cab file into your phones memory card. then install the .cab onto the device.Reboot.

Step two. find the tool.cab which comes with windows sdk program which you have to download. find the tool.cab in the directory where it was installed and place it inside your phones internal memory card and run it and install it into your phones device. The location of the tool.cab i forgot but search the internet or maybe ask brettw and he might no where to locate it. reboot please

Step three and the last and happy step. Download a program called windows security configuration manager. run it and then plug the phone to the usb on the computer. after a few mins it will show that your phone is on two tier prompt. on the box where it says selected configuration underneath it click on box and highlight one teir prompt and then hit provision. Reboot and that's it and yes i take hugs. Remember it was aldo junior . have fun ace.

No, venti is twenty. Large is large. In fact, tall is large and grande is Spanish for large. Venti is the only one that doesn't mean large. It's also the only one that's Italian. Congratulations, you're stupid in three languages.

windows mobile smartphones have different layers of security

one-tier is just nag screens that warn you when installing uncertified (as in lacking microsofts approval / certificate) but it allows you to install them if you say to do so

two-tier, which is what the ace has installed, has the nag screens but also REQUIRES you to have the certificate otherwise it will block the app from installing period.

the ace currently has two-tier sprint has said that was unintended and will fix it with a rom update at a later date which will switch it to what the q/q9c use which is one-tier aka nag-screens but thats it.

this makes it so the ace goes from two-tier to one-tier without the need of a rom update, which is great because app certification is expensive, and alot of developers cant afford to certify there apps with microsofts BS, also homebrew apps and such, things such as flashvideobundle, obviously arent certified so cant be installed on the ace, i cant wait to get home tonight and do this, so i can get flash video, and java support on my ace, thats the only reason i am not currently using it (instead im using my mogul) also it means apps such as pda net, and usbmodem will work for tethering, because the two-tier security was blocking that as well.
