Mets and Yankees

What's going on in New York? I'm watching the Mets game and they just said this is the last season for the Mets at Shae's Stadium. The Yankees said the same thing earlier during their game. Are they building new stadiums for these teams?

Both teams have new stadiums being built as we speak, right across form the old stadiums in the adjacent parking lots. I am a Yankee fan so I can only go into details on the Yankees.

They are building a park, a museum, and Monument Park will stay and people can visit it. The new Yankee Stadium is modeled after the old stadium that was renovated in 1974 and 1975 with the Yankees returning in 1976 after playing at Shea Stadium those 2 years.

CitiPark the new Mets Stadium is being built behind left field and center field and also will open in 2009.

A little late, but he is from near me, and on the other side of the state from NYC. Around here we hear about Toronto and the Yankees far more than the Mets. Then again, Toronto is a 100 mile drive while NYC is 400+
