ive made well over 120 ringers for my m1. i use the rumkin uploader to send them to my phone. but today i tried to do it and i cant download anymore. when i get the text message with the link to the ringer i click on it. usually it takes me to a screen that says "this is not a trusted file. continue anyway?" or something stupid. and then it starts downloading. but now when i get the text message with the link it takes me to a page and just plays my ringer for me with no option to download. is this a new sprint thing or what?

deleting cookies did not work. i sent the ringers to two of my buddies sprint phones and they both said the same thing happened to them. one of them thought that maybe sprint no longer lets us download untrusted files. im not sure if thats the case or not. i just want it to work and its pissing me off. thanks for any help.

it may be the filetype, try re-encoding it to another filetype and see if it will let you download it, i know with my mm9000 certain filetypes will play in the browsers, and others will download as ringers.

it may be sprint trying to step in and prevent it, i would first try every uploader possible and see if it may be sprint changing the way files get handled in its proxy. if no uploader works then you may be sol,

On a related note I thought funformobile was having problems the last couple weeks. I guess not cause I cannot upload anything to my 9000 and it plays in the browser now. Before that it would block the port/url to FFM's server. I was just recently moved to ensemble. Im not sure if that has anything to do with it. Thats crap sprint. EDIT: Im tempted to try to buy a sprint ringer just to see if it works. I havent used their ringers in 3 or 4 years.

w00t! thats good at least
![]() But it sounds like the problem in the original post is that he's getting text messages that point to the content (ringer) directly and not the GCD file that it needs to download. Now why that's happening from an uploader i'm not sure, rumkin is generally the best and most straight-forward uploader there is. |

I really doubt Sprint would try to upset customers in a time when they are losing them...
it might just be a script issue or the sites are trying to cater to other carriers rather than Sprint... |
