Lightbulb Mobile Speed Test for Q9c - try it and post results!

Go to: http://text.dslreports.com/mspeed?jisok=1&more=1
from the Q/9c and use the 1MB test. Do it about 3-5 times, and post your highest. Also post if you have Evdo or not...

Three tests in a row at a Sprint store while testing it... Ranged from 1050 to 1087. Not too shabby considering the Centro next to it consistently got around 280-300 or so. And compare all those to the 25 (yes, 25) that my 755p got at the exact same time... Of course, my Palm is now being fixed (or replaced), but to non-connect issues.

Anyway, I specifically remember the highest being 1087, because the Q9c got the exact same speed as the Touch.

Funnily enough I get my highest speeds when I'm in my bathroom in my apartment which is in the center of my apartment where you would think reception is poor.

EVDO!
As for EVDO, does the phone automatically picks up EVDO or does one need to turn on EVDO?

If you're in a Powervision (EVDO) area, the phone will automatically connect at those speeds.

Two inside @ 550k or so. I'm gonna see what outside does.

Strange...outside was slower by 200k.
