short 8100 / 4900 comparison...
i love the new 8100, but it is still somewhat lacking, i woulda been much happier if i coulda got it at cc for 162 or if bb woulda matched the price...for 200 (which is still alot for me) it's still somewhat lacking in comparison to the 4900 dont you think?
I mean the color screen is great, the camera function is basically useless, its cool u can email or share the pictures directly and attach a sound clip but really now cameras on cell phones, cool feature but basically useless, u cant really do too much with the images, quality isnt that great and they're super small. I think it's a cool phone but im probably going to take it back and wait until someone else has a better deal on it, and go back to using my big candybar 4900 phone...i wish they had a smaller 4900 phone...i dont really care about the color or camera...i think the signal strenght was still better on the 4900 then on the 8100, after that prl 10019 update though both phones seem to have a signal that fluctuates alot more then it did before :-( also sound quality and speaker phone is great on the 4900, and battery life is exceptional, but it is a damn big phone. i wish the 4900 was dual-band, tri-mode, i really think i need a trimode phone especially since im on one of those new free-clear america roaming plans, i dont know what difference it will really make not having 800 mhz digital, i just want to use analog roam as little as possible...i guess i dont understand why sanyo makes some of their phones dual band, just 1900 digital and 800mhz analog and then others, 1900 & 800 mhz digital and 800 mhz analog. :-( |
