KRZR firmware update

I just checked my KRZR for a firmware update.

It found an update. I'm downloading it now. This is what it says:

Priority: Medium

Software upgrade for the Motorola KRZR version 24.2_00.37.00R to 24.2_00.43.00R. This software upgrade enhances the multi-media, Picture Mail, and Music experience.

I hope this fixes the lag

I'll update when it finishes downloading

update:

The lag is still there.

Sirus radio now plays even when the phone is shut (that was a big problem because when the phone was open, it would play out of the speaker and it was low since it was on my desk or bed) not i can flip it around while closed and it's loud

Picture messaging doesn't freeze that much anymore

just updated mine as well...i still have Groove Mobile 1.58.6 and it still has to go through loading all the songs when i go to play music...disappointing, but i can live with it. the menu lag seems to be OK, but i just might be used to it by now.

Sturmie - I think we might have talked about this but I don't recall - try this for fixing the load all the songs thing - try creating one playlist - with anything in it (2-3 songs, whatever) - then reopen the music player and hit all my music and see if it still has to read all the titles...

I do not know how this "fixed" my issue... but it seemingly did...

just did the update, and i'd like to share something if anyone's curious about the lag issue.

it's still pretty much there, but it's a tad bit better. someone that i call frequently starts with the letter K, but isn't the first in my phone book, so typically what i do is hit Contacts and hit 5 twice (for K, duh) and then hit down 4 times (to the person i want to call) rather than just waiting for when i can type in another K (his name in my contacts is KKent, you nazis). but what i want to point out, is usually when i'd hit down 4 times the phone would freeze and a second later i'd be on KKent.. however after the update each time i hit down i watched the highlighted bar go down 4 individual times.. instead of pausing for a second and suddenly its on the contact i want.

Just updated mine as well. Seems to run better... no real lag in the first place so I can't say there is a difference there. I still love this phone!

I definitely notice that the lag is better. It isnt perfect, but it has lessened to an extent that makes me happy

It seems about the same to me...my foreground stayed lit and vibrated when plugged in before the update. I havent tried the music player yet but it will be getting played tomorrow walking across campus to classes...so I'll c if it did anything to speed up the player with 47 songs.

it does seem a little faster, still 2 seconds after pushing talk till it pulls up the recent calls, and 1.5 to pull up my contacts.
but they did not fix the alarm volume problem, still works off the main ringer volume

can anyone check to see if bluetooth stereo headphones work now?? i doubt it but that would be nice.

seems faster for me aswell.
Music loaded really fast.
menu lag seems to be much less.
love it.
also, when playing music with flip closed, you may now lock the touch keys, just hold the smart key for a few seconds and let go.
also, i believe if you hold down play, it shuts down the player without opening ur phone.

The update sped up the display of pics on my phone. It use to be painstakingly slow to view pictures on my phone or on the sd card -now I can scroll thru them much faster.
