What does "M" always stand for on a Sprint phone?

Now, follow me on this. If Sanyo calls this phone M1, and has never used that type of designation before, do you think that perhaps it will be quite the media-centric phone, and the "1" desingnation will indicate it will be the best, or number one, effort?

Just a little food for thought. This phone has been in development for more than a year. It will be worth waiting for, trust me.

First time I saw M1, I thought it was MM-10000. Seems too long of a name, so they renamed it to M1

9000 came out around october-november 2005

To whoever said this phone is a myth, let me go ahead and inform you that the SKU for the phone is in RMS already. It is no myth, we just can't find anything solid on it. And right now when you type the SKU in, it comes up as $0.00. I'm sure they'll add the price soon. The 8400 was in there a couple weeks ago at $0.00 and now it has a price attached to it. So in short, the M1 is coming.
