Streaming full videos a bad idea?

Well, I'm going on a trip soon and I want to stream movies to my a900. I have the webspace and bandwidth. I know how to upload and such, all of that stuff is good. I'm just wondering about streaming full videos, like, 100-150mb in size to my phone? It just seems like a lot to stream to a phone. Any comments would be appreciated.

By the way, I have the Power Vision Plus pack.

Ive actual done it before and things turned out pretty good but id much rather watch a full length video on my laptop rather than staring at a tiny phone lcd screen for an hour or more

The question I have on this would be: Would you get charged for addtional fees for using an excess amount of bandwith? I know that if you use your phone as a modem for a computer and you are using a lot of bandwidth or downloading lots of stuff, you could stand the chance of getting slapped with a internet service fee. What are the possiablities of this happening?

In theory, It would be cheaper for everyone to use their phone as a modem b/c then you could do away with your regular internet service and just use your phone so I think sprint charges a fee like this to discourage irregular amounts of internet being used.

well since they charge 0.002cents per kb and we all know just to load a image is um... about 250kb or so, its pure ripoff in my eyes, but i think the reason for this is cuz sprint cant handle that amount of traffic load, remember "Sprint" is a wireless company not a ISP so that will require them to upgrade they current gear to support everyone on they network and i dont think they will spit out the kinda of money to do that, maybe in the future though, u never know.

I would try it before you leave and see what happens. Even if it works then... your signal where you are going may not be as good and therefore you still may run into problems. It's not impossible. Perhaps you can convert the videos to a format to make them smaller. Sorry I can't be of more assistance with this. I'm new to all this movie stuff.

also be prepared to carry extra battery and the charger cuz using the internet on cellphones especially those media phones, will drain ur battery to nothing in no time

Sprint is coming out with USB modems for desktops sometime soon. People using their cellular provider for an ISP could come sooner than you expect.

I did before we added another DSL phone number, and with that we got about 1.6-2.1mbps routinely. This was off EV rev.0

Just think what could be possible with EV rev.a!

cant afford the extra $0.05 for texts? here's an idea:
collect soda cans! one can per text, if you're too lazy to get out there with a bag and a fire poker that isnt my problem.
remember kids, if you cant afford a cell phone, you cant afford a cell phone, Sprint is not a charity.
