Scan Buy Shopper Price Check App Available for Download! FREE!

Hey All,

Figured out how to get the Scanbuyshopper.com app to work on ANY phone that supports Java. I have a Samsung A900 and am on Sprint and was able to install it and get it to work fine.

The following is how I did it:

1. Install Opera Mini on your phone if you don't have it already. Do this by going to: mini.opera.com on your phone.

2. Open Opera, and goto the address wap.scanbuy.com

3. Choose a phone that has similar features as your phone (like screen size ect... I'm not sure how many versions they actually have of their scanbuy program). I used the RAZOR V3i because the Samsung A900 wasn't available.

4. Accept the download and install the program as you would any other program on your phone.

Enjoy!!!

***EDIT***
I just removed the V3i and installed the Sony Ericsson W600i. The V3i version worked, but I couldn't use my launch pad arrows. The Sony Ericsson W600i version solves this problem! Enjoy Sprint users!!!

I was thrilled to hear this, but I just downloaded Opera, and it won't load the wap.scanbuyshopper.com link....HELP!!!

Nevermind, the correct site address is wap.scanbuy.com....update your original post...and it does work by the way!! Thank you!!

Sorry guys!! They changed the URL on me.... wap.scanbuy.com is the correct one now, at the time I posted it, it was scanbuyshopper I believe...anyways I can't figure out how to edit the original post...LOL

Sprint phones will be officially supported from the 26th of June. Will post an update as soon as they are up.

You might want to update your application once the sprint specific versions are available. You will not have to delete the old application. A simple update will be fine.

I had this app on my phone for about a half an hour. I tried checking the price on some things at the grocery store and it kept saying no information was found about this product. Needless to say It was promptly deleted.

Awww... it's worked for me so far so

I got to find out I could've gotten my Bluetooth adapter like 20 bucks cheaper right up the road.

The app works well for books and electronic items. We are currently working on expanding our service for Grocery items and also getting you In store deals. You would see a lot of changes in the data you receive back in the coming weeks.

Do let us know what things u do not like about the service and what you do like. Also, give us your ideas as to how we can make this service better for you.
