Internet question

OK so I get unlimited net for $10 a month, back when you could talk to corp. they gave it to me to pretty much get me out of their hair.
Now I want to upgrade my 800w and they told me I have to upgrade my unlimited internet to unlimited internet.
*** I am not giving up my discount.

Anyone have any input on this.

It will depend on which phone you want to upgrade to. The following phones require an "Everything" plan:
Android based phones: Moment, Hero, EVO...
WebOS based phones: Pixi, Pre
Any flavor of Instinct
newest Crackberry
No way around that restriction.

If you are wanting an Android, WebOS, or Instinct phone you don't have a choice. There is no way around it and they are not going to discount off the difference. You can try for corporate discounts or $10/24 but that is about all your going to get. Sprint is actually trying to make money these days and isn't giving away the farm anymore.

Been with them 6 years discount net and 2nd line free is far from the farm free.
My 800w works just fine on this net and they said that it would not.
Paid cash for the phone and wow it works, i think it's just a way for them to try and get rid of any discounts they have out there. And there is no way I will come off any discount, without a new one in place. I was treated unfairly and this was my reward, if they wanted to make it a limited time thing 4 years ago they should have put a limit on the discount. I never order new phones from sprint I always buy them out rite, but I am about to order 3 and sale them on ebay.

You can buy them outright, they still won't activate them on your plan. You can set your demands wherever you want, they aren't going to honor them. They know your alternatives, go to another carrier for a similar phone and pay a good bit more in service fees.

I have always said I would rather pay more for a mom and pop shop
That also goes for a company that will treat me fairly.

Unfortunately there isn't a mom and pop shop that offers nationwide cellular service. I understand you enjoy having free internet. You have had it for three years. I don't know what Sprint did that they comped you for it but I imagine three years of discounts was pretty fair compensation. Times change, plans change. You can be upset all you want but the fact of the matter is you aren't going to get data plans anywhere else as cheap as you do on Sprint. Verizon is more, AT&T is more with low caps, T-Mobile is pretty close but the coverage isn't anywhere as good. Sprint knows this and they are trying to capitalize on it, and heaven forbid make a profit. If Sprint continues to give away services for free they won't be around much longer. What would you rather have, a fair price for a service or free service from a company that has went out of business? What do you think will happen to prices if Sprint goes out and the low cost carrier isn't around anymore?
