Clearing ram
I'm noticing today that my phone has significantly slowed down. I checked my running apps and it appears that I have 300 - 400 MB free ram. I'm looking at my list of running apps and it appears that the total memory used from these apps are not equaling the memory used. I'd appreciate some feedback as to what could be going on and how can I keep my ram usage low? I'm a heavy phone user by the way! Also, what's the best way to clear ram? I try stopping apps and force closing but that doesn't give me much more ram freed up. Help!

On the G2 goto to the widget section scroll thru it until you see the Task Manager widget which is a LG system widget. Attach the widget to one of the screens like the home screen then you can clear the RAM that way. Or by using the turn off phone and restart option will do the same thing.
Until the G2 is upgraded to KitKat then KitKat will keep the RAM stable something that 4.2.2 can not do currently. 4.3 introduced a feature that keeps the RAM from overloading.

Thanks everyone for the feedback so far. I know how to use the task manager and have used it to clear running apps. I let the battery run low and then I turned the phone completely off for about 2 hours and let it charge to 100%. After turning it back on it seems a lot faster now. Maybe I'll turn it completely off every night like others have done.
