SMS credit without having a SMS package?

Ok, here's a weird one. I had switched to SERO a few months ago and after a few calls to Customer Care, supposedly got N&W @ 7PM and 100 SMS for free. But my invoice was never correct. They charged me $10 ($5 for N&W and $5 for 100 SMS) and credited me with only $8 (500 SMS credit). So after getting nowhere by calling Customer Care back, I sent off an eCare mail and they didn't fix the credit issue but instead gave me a 10% loyalty discount. So I thought what the hell, I might as well try again since they didn't really fix the original $10 charge $8 credit problem. So now they've removed the 100 SMS package from my account but I am still getting the $8 (500 SMS) credit along with the 10% loyalty discount.

I guess I might as well stop trying since I don't really use SMS that much and having a bill that's under $30 after taxes is nice.

But the reason I'm posting is I'm wondering how can Sprint's system issue me a SMS credit when I don't have a SMS package? Is this going to be an issue at some point down the road?

yeah its a credit for $8 is a code that they had on your account but they never took the credit off of your plan when they removed the package.
Devices: Evo 4g (me), Evo 4g (fiancée), TouchPro II (brother), Airave (freebie).

Plan: ED 1500 (shared), 6pm Nights (free), Airave (free), Pick 3 (free), TEP x3, "evo tax" x 2, 25% Corporate Discount. Total Monthy Bill including taxes= $149.62/mo

I have on the same line one sms credit for my texting that fully covers the cost and then another one for $5 that has been poping up monthly.

got to love the fact that they do not know what they are doing.
