Well after a day of playing around with this phone, I have come up with my pro's and con's (some of them are rather obvious):

Pro's:
Trackpad (love it)
Wi-Fi (really love it)
Threaded Text Messaging!!!
New OS (very nice)
There is no lag on this phone like there is on the Tour (this is REALLY important to me...the lag on the Tour was KILLING me) Smaller Footprint (albeit very slight)

Con's:
Lower resolution screen than the Tour (you really notice the difference after using the curve for awhile) Camera sucks (no flash, lower mp's) Slower data speeds although there really isn't a big difference in my opinion.

So, its really a trade-off. Are you willing to give up better resolution and picture quality (camera) for wi-fi, trackpad, and the new OS (threaded text messaging)?

For me, the answer is YES!

WHEN the new Tour (essex)
comes out , we will get all the benefits in 1 phone and won't have to choose. But who knows when that will be???????

For now, the 8530 will meet my needs....I think lol

Sounds like you got a good one Moose! I can't wait for the official OS 5 for the Tour.

Kinda like the 5.0 OS for the Storm came out after the Storm2's release.

Guys who already own this... is the PIM (calender app) any different when compared to the 8330? Is it improved? Is it the same?

Moose have you had the chance to use Google Maps on your new phone. I'm curious if it lags horribly like it does on the Tour.
