Yeah, I've seen the vids of the 9630 in action... totally sweet looking! I'm not saying that the phone won't be out by Q3/Q4 of this year... just more so curious if July was an accurate piece of info. And yeah... I can see where release dates for devices compared to SW can differ, good point

Indeed. Look at how buggy the Storm turned out to be at initial release (and still is if I'm not mistaken). And I think the 1st gen iPhone was the same way too.

Seconding that. I can't stand the OS VZW puts on their phones. They all look the same... not all the phones are "unique". I can see where it's a good thing where you don't have to spend a lot of time learning a new phone, but I dunno... it just drives me nuts

Verizon is rumored to get the Storm 2 in September Per Engadget, Boy Genius, Crackberry (take your pick). So maybe that will open the door for Sprint to get a version of the Storm shortly there after

Storm now is doing perfectly fine. Buddy has one and has had it since day one. Said it did suck when he first got it.. and now, it's perfect (or very very close)

Right now Sprint has no phones coming out that really interest me.. Nothing on the WM side or the 9630 coming in Q3
I agree. I used to be a Palm and WM junkie and got the latest pda phones under those OS's. Since i sold my HTC Touch for the BB Curve, i have lost interest in PALM and WM. The models for those OS's are pretty rad looking, and have cool hardware, but there is just something about BB that crushes the rest. lol I used to be all about "the bigger the screen the better" and kind of hesitated to leave 640x480 and 320x480 for 320x240 BB screen, but functionality and productivity is so much better with BB. It truly is a "Smart-Phone".

I am going to patiently wait for the Niagra. I am eligible for an upgrade, and was tempted to get a free curve as a backup since i canceled phone insurance because BB replacement went up to $100! I then have been thinking about using my upgrade allowance for the new palm pre ... but it's tough to leave BB. I like the physical keyboard and always found it annoying having to wipe my touch-screen clean from fingerprints and such on my PALM or PPC's.

Anyway, that's all!

I got similar info, but July is likely on the early side of the window. August or September is more likely.

July is an accurate statement. I was at a blackberry 8350i training course the other day and I spoke with a few blackberry reps and my district manager. They informed us the set release date is the end of July.
