If you don't make calls, TMobile/Walmarts 100min/5GB for $30 gets my vote but GSM iPhone will only get edge except where Tmobile added the 1900 band. Straight talk $45 would be second choice. Then Verizon's $50 prepaid would be my third choice. None of Sprint's Nvmos are in the running because in my area Sprints data sucks. If Sprint had good data speeds then Ting and maybe Virgin would be my first choices.

If your phone is CDMA, you are kind of SOL because CDMA Prepaid companies will not activate other company phones and the iPhone is not esn repair friendly.

Shopping for plans using a phone you own is a nightmare. Better off selling your phone and open your possibilities to every thing. The US cell market sucks and the companies like it that way.

CDMA iphones have been put on PagePlus, although it is officially "discouraged".

Yes, Tmobile is probably one of the better choices for GSM iphone. Hopefully the EDGE-only issue will soon be fixed as Tmo moves HSPA to PCS/1900 to make way for AWS LTE. StraightTalk is becoming BYOD but it is mixed AT&T and Tmo, so you need to be careful how you get set up. Read the HoFo forum on StraightTalk: http://www.howardforums.com/forumdis...-Straight-Talk
