It will be good to see when it's announce officially on Tuesday. With the Nexus S and new Evo, it's good to see Sprint come out with some good high-quality phones. They'll need to keep this momentum going. With the merger news over the weekend, Sprint needs to keep it's name out in the media/public. Good phones are one way to do it.

With all the phones coming out on other carriers I'm excited with the Nexus S and Evo 3d joining our lineup!!! Can't wait to see some videos and pics of each. And to think I was suppose to work the event in orlando for Samsung . If only I didn't book a commercial the same week damn... Go sprint!!!!

Since T-mo was usually the first to get the Nexus line, perhaps Sprint will move into that position to get future releases.

There should be no complaints about phone selection this year.
But as usual, it will be the few Sprint's "failed" customers that can't look at things 1/2 full.

Read more at Google Mobile Blog: Introducing Nexus S 4G for Sprint. Also, more information and videos at http://www.google.com/nexus/

I feel giddy.

At this juncture, I think that would be the best option for Sprint. Sprint needs cash and Google swims in it. You also must consider economies of scale. Sprint would be first in alot of things i.e. android updates and equipment (the manufacturers would do Googles bidding, which in turn would allow Sprint to have the first choice in handsets, etc.). This marraige (cash) would allow Sprint to leverage it's LTE network buildout and look at the purchase/alliance with the regionals.

I see where you're coming from but its not like the nexus is exactly new. Its been out since last year. And the specs are the exact same just with wimax instead of hspa. As far as the evo 3d... eh.. ill wait to see what the final specs are tomorrow.

I would be happy with just a sordid affair between them.

Also wondering out loud - if SPCS uses it CDMA spectrum to fully jump to 100% LTE + WiMax for mobile data, it could literally give free voice minutes away by using Google Voice servers (VOIP) & then charging only for data or the gateway to data.

Costs of business just went down for Sprint. Google's entry into wireless got easier. Win-Win.

This is a great move by Sprint! I may actually try Google Voice now!

I have a hard time seeing Google interested in a CDMA network. I would think they'd prefer GSM so they could take over the world.
