Nexus battery life vs. EVO?

I have an EVO and just got back from Vacation.. Can anyone who has had an EVO and now has a Nexus comment on observed battery life between the two?

thanks

Its night and day. Moderately used my Nexus for nearly 8 hours yesterday, nothing too crazy but my battery was still at 51%. My Evo would have been ready for the charger at probably 20% at 8 hours and that was with the 1800MAH extended battery. The stock battery would have been dead I am sure. That was only the first charge on the Nexus battery too. I am sure it will pick up after the 5th or 6th charge as most batteries do.

good news on the battery front. might have to get the nexus. i love the evo, but battery is my main concern. I could hold out until something with more substantial more battery life comes out, but i'm not hearing much on that front.

I will say that i was in Las Vegas where they have 4G connectivity... it sure did seem like 4G was a battery thief, so I turned 4G off.

robbed in vegas for money from gambling.. robbed in vegas for the battery.. sorry just had to throw it out there.. lol.. not really funny.. lol.

On a more serious note, I'm curious about the battery too, if I do get the Nexus, i'll be compelled to buy an extra spare just in case.

15 hours of moderate use today and my battery was still at 27% when I plugged it in. Thats with a custom live wallpaper running too. My Evo, even with its 1800MAH extended battery would have needed the charger around 9 hours and dead by the 10th. Very impressed with the stock Nexus battery and I still have a 1750MAH showing up tomorrow!

I can say 4G kills this *****!!!!!!!!!!

But, battery life on the Nexus is better than on my past EVO with 4G on both devices...

Sbc kernel = good battery life. My Evo's battery life is not a issue.

Interesting note about the battery. Most are reporting you cant get it to show more than 94% charged, I thought the same thing. Charged overnight and this morning my battery widget said 97% Does it start to slowly trickle charge when it hits 94%?

I've kept 4G on and battery life is still great. I had to come back to the Nexus S line because like the iPhone, it just works. GPS is spot on and super quick unlike most HTC devices (my Thunderbolt took damn near 10 minutes to lock in).

In my opinion you won't need a spare.
After conditioning my Nexus's battery I found it would last all day with heavy usage with 4G, Bluetooth, and GPS on.. YMMV tho...
Something my past EVO couldn't do not without a 3500 mah battery..
While I loved the EVO, but that ***** was a battery HOG!!!!!!!!!!

Just got the 1750MAH battery from Seidio, going to start using it tomorrow. Sure charges quicker than the stock battery. Went from 44%-90% in an hour

I would think you would need more then a few days to see how the battery is but I'm glad the Nexus is working for ya. Did you ever root your Evo and or use a different Kernel? After doing that majority of the time I can get through a day with heavy usage and that's fine for me.

This is the best smartphone I have ever used when it comes to battery life. With 4g and bluetooth on all day..

12 hours of it and still had juice left.
