SERO F & F - Not allowing me to upgrade to SERO-P

I tried to upgrade my old SERO plan that I've had since 2004 to the new SERO-P via chat and this is the response I got:

Well, you are on "SERO F and F" plan. This plan is not eligible to change to SERO premium plan.

and after I said, "I'm not sure that's accurate"...

Only a full SERO plan can get the premium plan. But you are on SERO F&F plan and it is not eligible to change to premium. You can call our account service department at 1-888-211-4727 and confirm this.

Has anyone come across this? Any way to get around it?
My plan is titled "SERO F&F 500" according to sprint.com. What is the difference between this and any other SERO plan? It's still the same $30/month, 500 minutes, unlimited everything else...

I guess according to Russ McGuire, I don't *technically* have the right plan:
How do I know if I am an existing SERO or Everything Plus customer?
You are a SERO or Everything Plus customer if you are on one of the following rate plans:

Everything Plus Data 500 Minutes/1,000 Minutes
Everything Plus Data Family 1,600 Minutes/3,200 Minutes
Everything Plus Messaging 500 Minutes/1,000 Minutes
Everything Plus Messaging Family 1,600 Minutes/3,200 Minutes
SERO Basic 500 Minutes/1,250 Minutes
SERO Premium 500 Minutes/1,250 Minutes
SERO/Everything Plus 5GB Connection Card

This is total bullcrap if they don't honor this... off to the iPhone if that's the case.

This may not be useful to you but..

My plan used to read this on the bill:
"Sprint Employee Referral Fair and Flexible - 500 Anytime Minutes Included................ $30.00"

Then In October I got this along with my bill:

Sprint changed the service plan on Oct 14.
Your new SERO 500 plan took effect on Oct
17.

And now my bill reads:
SERO - 500 Anytime Minutes Included.......................................... ............................... $30.00

I never did anything to facilitate this change. (In fact I was worried about it at the time) I never called about it because I didn't want my 20% discount taken off.

You could say that you were supposed to be migrated in October but weren't somehow? Maybe..

That's possible... I'm going to try calling them and speaking to someone in person.

What's the best number to call them at? I've been given a few different numbers from Sprint.

always contact employee accounts 888-876-8381

they will take care of you with out a fuss, plus they actually have knowledge about Sero plans.

I just realized this happened to me also. I received a message from sprint that "changes to my plan were applied" but I never knew, noticed or requested any changes. So what happens when/if we go over our 500 anytime minutes? Do we still get the F&F rate for additional minutes?

No I believe it's something like $0.40 a minute now.

This.

Always call employee accounts. Other reps think they know about sero, but they don't.

Ooops... I mis-spoke... I've had Sprint since 2004 and I upgraded to SERO when that came out.

Keep your fingers crossed for when I call Employee Accounts...

ouch...that could add up for some people. I would think that this would allow someone to get out of their contract without a ETF. Doesnt effect me since I dont use many minutes. You would think that Sprint would have explained what the changes were instead of pulling the wool over our eyes. Maybe it was just another tactic to piss off SERO poeple enough to give up their SERO plan.

What was the F&F rate for over minutes?

$5 for the 1st min over the plans limit up to 30min.
30min blocks at $5 each.
I guess we can say we are on the SERO 500 Free & Clear Plan if we will be paying .40 for additional mins.

It might be $0.45 if it's the same as eprp. The more expensive plans get cheaper overage minutes.

That's not good news but it sounds logical.
Anybody go over their A/T minutes since being switched? What was the rate?

So before I tried the chat, I tried calling in and got stuck with customer care. I figured I wasn't calling the right number and no one could successfully transfer me to employee care. Chat didn't work, obviously. I tried the number in this thread and that also took me to customer care and was not able to be transferred to employee care for some reason... I'm about to lose my marbles not getting through to anyone.

I was given this number to try: 866-264-1282. Anyone familiar with that number?

What do I have to do to get a hold of someone who can freakin' help me. Arg.
