I meant is there a link that goes straight to it? My mistake. I don't want to spend all year getting to the very last page of results.

Dear God, I would probably laugh at this if it weren’t so incredibly true that some people really needed it. I’m new to this forum, but whichever other forum or interactive social site it is … sometimes questions come up that make me wonder what happened to that person’s Google… and why they aren’t using it? Oh, there’s also a very nice link relating to this: http://just****inggoogleit.com …. Nice, clear and concise.

I always liked letmegooglethatforyou.com

It looks something like this:

http://www.letmegooglethatforyou.com...+to+use+google

It will also allow you to create a tinyurl to send to others. I use it all the time when my sister asks me questions like "Can you find me a recipe for monkey bread"

Google only allows you to view up to 1000 results. http://i225.photobucket.com/albums/d...glelimited.jpg

If you want to really mess with it,

Search for say "alphabet"

you should get around 53 million results and the URL should look like this..

Code:
http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=alphabet&btnG=Search
Go to page 2 of your results.

Your URL should now read
Code:
http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=alphabet&start=10&sa=N
See the number "10" listed there?

Replace that with whatever the number of your searches. Say i will put in 1000100

now my URL has changed to
Code:
http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=alphabet&start=1000100&sa=N
But google tells me
Quote:
Sorry, Google does not serve more than 1000 results for any query. (You asked for results starting from 1000100.)
So in theory google seems to be "padding" the results. I would imagine all search engines do that though. as far as jumping to the end of the page, well it seems to not be possible according to google. maybe that explains your question some.

Yeah I work for them, no I'm not a spokesperson, and no you can not take what I say as the "official" word unless the word absquatulation has been used in its correct context somewhere other than in this warning.

Don't forget about the toolbars available in today's most popular browsers, such as FireFox and IE, there you can open a new tab, type in the search bar area and hit enter. Right there is the search to look for!!

I totally use Google all the time, but I gotta say, sometimes you don't know how relevant the data you find is. It could be old or new, and you wouldn't know because the stuff you find sometimes isn't dated. That's why some folks would prefer a live answer on a forum or something, but I generally do my own research before asking any questions.

My mom gets mad at me whenever I tell her to use Google. Even if I tell her exactly what to type. No, I have to do the search myself and paste the results into an email.

The most important part of searching is to make sure you use "quotes" around exact groups of 2-4 words that must be in the results.

as Rook mentioned.. don't forget to help google for others using "www.LMGTFY.com"

where you can not only help them find what they're looking for but also teach them how to google@ the same time

simply go to the site, type in the correct search phrase someone should use, then press 'google search' button. at the bottom you'll see a link posted that you can either share w/ your google handicapped friend... or you can move your cursor just below the link and press on the 'tinyurl' button to change (disguise) your link..

here's the example of a link: http://www.lmgtfy.com/?q=sprint+users
here's the 'tinyurl' link of the same item:http://tinyurl.com/5vzee4s

enjoy!
