I had no issues rooting my Note 4. Took like 5 mins if that. T-Mobile doesn't lock the bootloader like other carriers.

So the Nexus 6 wow's ya? That thing is like a tablet. It's pretty obvious that you love the Nexus line so I don't see you liking any other manufacture. Just sayin...I like to change manufactures unless the next model is a different design. Been a long times since I had a Motorola.

1. I'm so careful with my phones it's crazy. Plus that's what insurance is for and with Jump it's cheap. hehe

2. Ummm you can't open the Nexus 6 to fix anything can ya? No big deal for me my boy at T-Mobile will hook me up if something happened with my phone. lol
Lucky you then that T-Mobile doesn't lock the boot loader, but like you said other carriers do tho. What I like about Nexus devices is that they are unlocked from jump street without having to beg a carrier for the SIM unlock code. And that the boot loader can be unlocked with a simple fastboot command (fastboot oem unlock) plus rooting is easier without a "simple 3 click program" I don't trust those type of programs since the old Motorola Atrix days. Lastly, yes customs ROMs are different in nature because of coding differences between what OEMs does with the code for a particular phone vs. a Google Nexus device. Things like device configurations and skins ie. Touchwhiz, HTC Sense come to mind. Only Google Play devices ran stock Android ROMs, but those done thru the OEMs not Google per say. Some custom ROMs do not also work proper with all devices hence different builds are done for specific devices ie. Cyanogen has many builds for different devices. Examples here. http://download.cyanogenmod.org/

Nexus 6 can be taken apart granted not easily tho https://www.ifixit.com/Teardown/Nexus+6+Teardown/32877

Yes, I do love the Nexus line and different OEMs with Google launch different ones like Nexus One mfg HTC, Nexus S and Galaxy Nexus mfg Samsung, Nexus 4 and 5 mfg LG, Nexus 6 mfg Motorola, next Nexus (2015) by Huawei and LG http://www.phonearena.com/news/Two-G...turing_id66488 So, I too use different OEM like you depending on the Nexus program OEM selection.

Lastly, I am addicted to the Nexus line and probably will stay that way for a long time.

I'm with you, except for the camera... every time the next Nexus is going to have a great camera... and then it turns out average at best. That S6 camera is enough for me to at least consider ditching Nexus.

Did anyone receive a tracking number today? Not sure if mine just hasn't shipped or if the gold version is back stocked.

I'm excited for it. I busted the screen on my gs4 and have been using my wife's old iphone5 for the past 2 months. I feel that I can legitimately stay that the iPhone is not for me.

LoL. I always said that if the iPhone came out with a bigger display I would try it. Decided to pass and got the Note 4. Now I wanted something smaller for the summer so got the S6. I don't feel the phone in my pocket that much. You will like the S6.

I never said anything about those apps. I mean rooting via adb is like 3 clicks.

A 6 month old article. Bahahaha. People suck the nipple of phonearena hoping to get milk out of it far too much.
