G3 Notifications

The G3 only blinks the LED every minute when there is an unread text. So I installed LiteFlow to try and configure a faster blink rate.

After try various settings without any luck I discovered that no changes work until the phone is re-booted - which I doubt is by design. Even then very few of the color choices actually work. Furthermore, reading the SMS message doesn't clear the notification - I have to open the LiteFlow app and close it again!!

All in all very frustrating. Why did Android/KitJat/LG not expose control of this feature? Has anyone tried an app that actually works?

My LG G3 blinks a few times a minute. I didn't do anything to configure, it just took defaults when I first got my device. I don't know anything about 3rd party apps that control LED function so I can't help there.

Yes, you are correct it appears to blink every 12 seconds. But staring at my phone for 12+ seconds to see if it blinks is not the best use of my time. I know I could unlock my phone and check but I would rather glance and see a blink every second or even a steady LED.

Light Flow is a pain. Try light manager.

Light Flow just had a pretty big redesign - worth another look.
