Can't activate Admiral on $40 SERO plan

Called 866-264-1282 twice, the representatives insist that I need to pay $10 extra (total $50/month).

Can somebody help? I see tons of posts where people got Admiral on $40 plan without extra.

Did the rules change?

I've been thinking about upgrading to the Admiral, anyone know if you can avoid the $10 fee if you do the ESN swap online?

Ya, the Admiral is much like the XPRT, so I'm not surprised you like it. The keyboard is a pretty cool feature and I'll bet your call quality is great.

My XPRT just started slowing down, a lot, and I didn't want to invest more time into it with a reset so I moved on to something more current, the HTC One.

Much to my amazement, the HTC has worse reception and worse call quality, on such an advanced phone! You would think that call quality is standard these days but when I compare it to my wife's XPRT the difference is night and day.

Given the reviews of the call quaility and Motorola's reputation, I am bound for the Moto X asap.

just know that the camera sucks. Takes 1 good shot for every 3 if and only if you're in lighting that works for it. In other lighting, (outside both sunny and cloudy), it takes pretty bad pics. And the video, my goodness, it's clear but it does something odd to compensate for light. just a heads up.

I wonder if a XPRT's ESN could be cloned onto an Admiral (or even a Motorola X)...Where is a good forum to ask this?

Getting desperate here. The policies are rediculas, I use no more data with my XPRT than I did with my TouchPro2, I know I'd use no more data with a Admiral than XPRT.

I average 500mb a month! with peaks of 1GB.
