I live in zip 48625...I'm out in the country a bit, but live close to 127.
I just noticed I had 4G here now! About triple the 3G speeds I was getting.

Noticed that was a Detroit server even though I'm 3 hours north of there.

if this is what sprint calls LTE, I will be dropping them soon.

When I catch it in certain areas near Allen Park, MI I am getting about 3 down and 2 up

In Kansas City where Network Vision is largely completed I usually get speeds 20-30MB/s. While your towers are first being provisioned with LTE you will see some issues with slower speeds as the closer a user is to a tower the more bandwidth they will chew leaving those on the outer rings out of luck. Eventually it will get better and better.

The Chicago LTE and NV rollout was very focused on pico and femtocells with a huge amount of a rip and replace with back haul systems. It is a completely unique market and you shouldn't see the same issues in Michigan markets beyond a slightly higher amount of blocked calls. Capacity overhauls will mostly be unnecessary so you won't see a drop in 3G coverage or speeds. Your IAE was most likely mistaken.

#2 I work there also, LTE coverage at UMHS, is about 1-2 bars, but still getting around 20 down on speed test. Outside 20-40 down. On another phone, the iPhone 5 that get about 42 consistently at our home. My Note 2 started off like that, but slower speeds at home now for some reason.

Another LTE tower up in Ann Arbor @I-94 & Jackson

LTE has been on for a few days now. Speeds are 8/6/90ms or so with a good signal, a big improvement over broken 3G
