Hi all,
I have palm centro with USB modem loaded, is it possible to use it to do bluetooth tethering with any of the android tablets XOOM/ACER/GALAXY ?

Have any of you tried?. your recommendation/procedure is appreciated.

I am planning to get one of these tablets if I could use the my data plan for bluetooth tethering ?

No, I have not tried tethering to an Android tablet. Have you already set up USB Modem to tether to your computer via Bluetooth? I'm just asking that because you need to know how to set up your USB Modem bluetooth DUN before you tackle connecting it to Android.

Having said that, google it: something like "android bluetooth tether." There are a lot of threads on the internet about trying to get Android to tether to bluetooth, like this one: [HOW-TO] Bluetooth Tether from Android phone to XOOM

Apparently it is a PITA. Some people are able to tether a Xoom to another Android device only. Trying to tether it to a non Android phone should work (bluetooth is bluetooth) but in reality that does not mean it could actually be set up. It might see the bluetooth, but the Centro might not actually send any data. A huge YMMV.

I tried bluetooth tethering to laptop using USB Modem it still works.

I am interested in bluetooth tethering with any of the tablet. I still not successful.
Hoping someone will provide me the instructions.

I believe I tried these instruction on a XOOM, I could pair my phone with xoom.

bluetootethering was not working with my palm centro.
