Title says it all.

I had no plans to use the phone I sold but might want to keep the plan. I have no other phone to put on my account. Will I lose my plan when I remove the phone from my account?

I dont suppose a virgin mobile phone can be activated on sprint...

The person you sold your phone to won't be able to activate the phone on their account until you either replace it with another phone on your account, or close your account all together. So the only way for you to "release" your phone from your account while keeping the account open is to activate another phone on the account.

surprised that you could sell it while its still on your acct... the other guy either wants it for another carrier or doesn't understand what is going on...

just get another $5 Sprint phone to put on that line...

checked craigslist but no one is selling phones for $10 or less. Is threre any where else I can get a phone that cheap and quick?

PM me your email address and I'll give you a "dummy" esn you can put on there to remove the phone you currently have.

I have sold alot of phones over the years and most of those are either on Metro or not used anymore, so I keep the ESN's for this exact reason.

Tell me what kind of phone you currently have on that line and I can give you an ESN to replace it with.

That will free up the phone you sold and keep your plan from changing.

Let me know quick as I won't be back on the web after Noon Central time today until Monday.

BTW, you can often find low-priced refurbished phones at Sprint.com. Some of the feature (legacy) phones are actually free while you can get an Optimus S or Blackberry for $19.99.

You don't need a "two-year upgrade" to take advantage of these either. Of course, you will extend your contract by two years if you purchase one...but it will not change the date of your upcoming upgrade either. And, of course, it will allow you to have a phone on the line.

thanks for the offer but memmypro contacted me yesterday and got me taken care of.

My buyer was ok with the whole thing and I refunded $10 because of the delay.

I have a bunch of old phones... 2035's, Katana II's, M310, some old Samsung can't remember its model number, and a 95% functional Rumor Touch... those are the junky ones...
