Apple will NEVER think about, or even cater to the idea to ANY CARRIER having the ability to or wanting the ability to Unock their phones. If Apple doesn't allow it's customers to officially unlock and jailbreak their phones, they certainly are not going to allow the carriers to do it. Apple has everything to tight and locked up. So tight, they won't even allow any carriers to fix or do much troubleshooting of their phones. EVERYTHING MUST go through Apple. If it's not the Apple way, it's no way. Their way or the highway.

ahhaha, that's exactly what I thought.
AT&T is the consumer-unfriendly carrier who is the reason it used to be so hard to unlock iPhones in the US. Verizon and Sprint long ago said that they would unlock iPhones when the 4S came out with a world chipset. AT&T used their iPhone monopoly to keep their iPhones locked until they absolutely had to, and even now their policies aren't as consumer-friendly as Verizon and Sprint. |

Sure you can, as long as you are with sprint for more than 3 months. However, this is only unlocked for international use if you are traveling overseas, not for other US carriers. When get unlocked, if you do restore, the phone will be locked again, and you will need to contact sprint to get it unlocked again.
you can follow this link to do the online chat with sprint. http://sprintworldwide.custhelp.com/...at/chat_launch |

Sprint will not unlock an iPhone for other U.S. carriers, like Verizon for example and neither will Verizon for that matter.
Apple sells unlocked, GSM iPhone's in the Apple store, and AT&T will unlock iPhone's as long as you meet the qualifying terms they set out. |
