T-Moble increasing Data rates for subsidized plans
T-Mo is adding $5 to its 5GB and 10 GB plans. Looks like a move to push customers to its value plans or out the door.
Quote: "T-Mobile on April 4 will increase the price of its Classic Premium 5 GB Promotional Bundles and Classic Ultra 10 GB Promotional Bundle data features. The 5 GB bundle will go up to $35 and the 10 GB bundle will go up to $65, making them $10 more expensive than the company's Value plans that offer the same amount of data." http://www.fiercewireless.com/story/...ces/2012-03-27 |

Yup, definitely seems like a move to push to Value plans to me. They're not changing the price for the Value plan data packages. Seems like their execs are really pushing to go to a subsidy-less provider, without actually cutting subsidies outright.

If true, it's good to see they'll be grandfathering those existing customers.

Tmobile did raise the prices by $5.00 here is why you get tethering built into the plan which is 14.99 normally and 10g of online storage for pictures and videos on my tmobile.com. That costs $4.99 so a small price to pay for this cost. I work for tmobile call center. It's only offered on the 5G and 10G plan.
