Battle of the Androids! Galaxy S3 VS. HTC One X
Samsung has done a great job at keeping most of the information about its next flagship smartphone -- the Samsung Galaxy S3 -- under wraps. There are hardly any details available about the smartphone at this time. In fact, Samsung has not confirmed that it will name its next highly anticipated top-of-the-line smartphone the Samsung Galaxy S3.
The HTC One X runs on a 1.5GHz quad-core processor and 1GB of RAM, which is slightly less than the hardware that the Samsung Galaxy S3 is rumored to be running on. The HTC One X also has 1GB of RAM. SHARE THIS STORY If the rumors are true, the Samsung Galaxy S3 will pack a 4.65-inch display with 720p high-definition resolution. The Galaxy series from Samsung has been known for its stunning visual displays, so most expect the latest device to be no different. The Samsung Galaxy S3 hardware is rumored to be a quad-core ARM A9-based Exynos 4212 chipset that clocks at 1.8GHz. If this particular rumor is true, that would make it literally twice as responsive and fast as the iPhone 4S. Samsung also promises significant speed boosts and battery-friendly features. Cnet UK predicts that the Samsung Galaxy S3 phone will come with 2GB of RAM and 32GB of storage -- plenty of power for most users. It's also rumored that the hone will have a 12-megapixel rear camera, which would be a step up from the 8-megapixel camera tha the Galaxy S2 has. The Samsung Galaxy S3 is expected to be running the latest version of Android (4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich). Although it hasn't been confirmed, many are suggesting that the Samsung Galaxy S3 will be released on May 22 at a media event in London. HTC One X While most mobile device fanatics are focusing on the ongoing battle between Apple and Samsung, others are looking to HTC for the next state-of-the-art smartphone. One of its latest models, the HTC One X launched at Mobile World Congress. The smartphone packs a 4.7-inch screen with 720p high-definition resolution, much like the Samsung Galaxy S3's rumored screen. HTC has been known for making sleek casing and this phone appears to be no different. The HTC One X runs on a 1.5GHz quad-core processor and 1GB of RAM, which is slightly less than the hardware that the Samsung Galaxy S3 is rumored to be running on. The HTC One X also has 1GB of RAM. The HTC One X has an 8 megapixel camera with auto-focus that's able to record full 1080p HD video. The 1.3 megapixel front-facing camera allows users to participate in video chatting at 720p high-definition. It runs on the latest version of Android (4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich). http://www.ibtimes.com/articles/3204...-x-android.htm STEP UP THAT GAME ! WOOT ! ![]() This will be a tough one ! I believe HTC has it them to come back and whoop @ss! I`ll go with the most innovative ! |

If the G3 makes it to Sprint, it will most likely have a Snapdragon processor. I would probably go for the HTC on this one. My last 3 phones have been Sammys, time to go back to HTC for a while. I saw the the German videos of the HTC, looks awesome. I don't know if I can handle such tiny of phone tough. My current phone, ok Phablet, is a Gnote.

Done with HTC, first evo bricked, got 3d and it sucks, crashes and takes horrible blurry pictures. Gnote or GSIII for me in June or new carrier. What's the point of unlimited data when you get no data.

I may be willing to give HTC another try. Reviews say that Sense 4 isn't as intrusive anymore and doesn't make the phone lag. It's supposed more like earlier versions of Sense without all the customization and add-ons. More like Touchwiz is today.
By the way, it looks like Sammy is close to winning the race for the first quad-core LTE chip, so I would expect the GSlll to have it. Still a rumor, but closer than what Qualcomm and the others are saying. http://www.bgr.com/2012/03/19/samsun...-galaxy-s-iii/ |

Fixed batteries look like the wave of the future as far os some OEMs are concerned. Somewhat like the trend to do away with micro SD cards. We'll just have to see how this tracks in for the future.

I would discount all of the rumored SGS3 specs right now. They're all based on wishful fanboy thinking.

I agree about the GSlll, not much hard info out. I think most of the leads for the EVO will be pretty much spot on except for maybe a few missing or incorrect details.

That`s negative thinking ! These rumors could be started by someone working at the Samsung plant. (for all anyone knows) With all the quad-cores being released and the nice screens that will be available this year I don`t think the rumors would be too far off. |
