they may "run", but how well? Qchat itself was waiting for EVDO RevA as the latency with EVDO Rev 0 was too high for good performance. Verizon's PTT "runs" on 1xrtt but reports say that it is barely useable on 1xrtt. So Qchat II would have to be truly magical to work well on 1rxtt...

Let's be clear, as I've said many times, I really hope Sprint can hit a (much belated) home run with Qchat II or whatever nextgen PTT over data scheme can work. I really hope that Sprint can reclaim the PTT throne and push it hard into the future while also freeing them to sunset iDEN.

I gave up on PTT since the Ready Link days when I had the Sanyo 5600.

Tried it for a few days and dropped it.

Anyone out there use the Sprint CDMA PTT?

we use the Sprint CDMA PTT...it works great...we have approximately 170 devices..let me know if you need help to test it out...they are interchangeable with the iDen network

ive used both IDEN and SDC (Qchat) and didnt have no issues with Qchat in any way BUT u do have to have good REV.A coverage or DC wont work....the NEW SDC is suppose to work on all bands 1x/REV.0/REV.A and even while Roaming!...would love to see a video of this working on the different bands

It should work when roaming, but hopefully sprint will not count SDC usage when roaming against the data bucket. While it may not be a huge data use, Sprint needs to make their SDC coverage as business friendly as possible.

oh so sprint can already ptt while roaming as of right now? i know sprint said it would work but really didnt give a date..hmmmm i might have to try to pick up one of these new ptt phones just to try the ptt on all the bands and see how it compares....i would guess sprint will treat ptt roaming like they are now with roaming in gen... if u have unlimited data (or what ever) u can still use ur unlimited while roaming and not worry about extra charges of any kind BUT if ur roaming alot (more than 50%) then sprint will send letters and call u to tell u that ur roaming to much/or they will cut off ur service....

but if ur roaming alot then id say find a different company

lol yea ptt died when nextel did a few years back....sprint needs to add SDC on EVERY PHONE just like Nextel did then people will start using it again!

also have a real ptt button on the phone not a app where u gotta touch the damn screen to use it....also i saw something about $5 monthly fee for SDC?!?!? that better be a error..

i also had the v950 thing was a beast but moto F things up whit a software upgrade that kill that phone...i went threw 12 v950's no joke
