Brand new XPRT ... Can't send texts!

Hey all!

I just got a Motorola XPRT and I LOVE it so far, but ....

Every time I try to send a text, it says "message not sent."

Any thoughts on what's going on?

aside from your sms issue, i'm just curious as to why you picked up a xprt rather than an admiral. was there a huge price difference or something?

Hey there!

First of all, the SMS issue was quickly fixed with a Profile and PRL update.

Secondly, I got the XPRT because:

1) I had read great reviews of it.
2) I really like the keyboard.
3) I spend 3 months every year in the UK and Europe. (So that unlocked SIM is awesome!)
4) I got a brand new XPRT for $150 on eBay! (without using an upgrade)

I'm an XPRT user who will probably never travel out of the country. The Admiral wasn't available when I got the XPRT, but one thing that bothers me a bit about the Admiral is that reviewers continually talk about the bottom being thinner than the top -- which (they say) affects keyboard comfort and "feel." If you use an Admiral, how big of a deal is this?

Do you have any links to these reviews? I just got the phone and the keyboard doesn't feel uncomfortable at all, to me at least
