It's not THAT bad... Sprint just ruined it with that awful 2.1 update. With CM7.1 (Android 2.3.7) and LauncherPro the thing is very smooth (even just OC to 633). It can't play Netflix, etc. or do video chat, but if you're not using those apps it isn't all that bad.

Agreed, Had some issues with the 2.1 update but after getting the bugs worked out the phone was fine, just slow as always. Had the Hero rooted with CM7.1 and with no bloatware it ran great. Finally sold it on eBay and made more on it that the non-rooted Hero's did.

WalMart's marketing team must be on turkey overload displaying a picture of that relic.
