The battery life on my 8530 is pathetic. I had a better battery life on the 8330 I bought from ebay. I have turned off Wifi on my 8530 an dI still have to charge it t least 2ce a day to talk for a few mins and to surf for a few mins.

Once Sprint releases OS 5 for the 8330 I may switch back. Or even upgrade to the 9650 if it is not too expensive on ebay (I hate contracts).

Well, I've had 3 Curves 8530 in 2 weeks. This was my first attempt at a BlackBerry. The phone would be ok for a week, as long as I pulled the battery for a few minutes every day. If I didn't it would not want to make calls after a bit, or not pick up messages, or not connect to the net. Then after a week, even if I did pull the battery, it might miss messages, meaning another battery pull. Which isn't hard, it's no big deal, but it's a pain not knowing if you need to pull the battery more than once a day. It would time out on connections, saying no signal. I could grab hubby's Centro, which would connect right off, and load great. So, I'm back to my Centro for now. What I liked....how nice & clear the pictures and screen were, how you could zoom in. I loved the trackpad. It played my mp3s very well. I loved how I could add pics and custom ringtones for the contacts I wanted to. I love the blackberry app store, even though I only got quickpull (and yes, I still had to pull the battery out). But they had lots of cool stuff in the app store. When it would make & receive calls they were clear. I didn't mind the keypad. I really even liked the games, better than an old magazine in a Doctor's office! But the Centro would get signal when the BB wouldn't. I've got to say, when I took the 3rd one back to reactivate my Centro, the folks at the Sprint store were awesome! They were kind, and mentioned some folks had problems with the Curve, suggested I might think about the Bold. I really wanted to like this phone, I can back up the data to my Linux computer. Seems BB are the only ones that have phones that you don't mess with storing your data on someone else's server. So, I'm thinking on the Bold, it's a lot more money though.....But there was a lot to like about the Curve.
