Activate another phone?

I'm on my dads plan, is there anything special I need to know to activate a phone bought off craigslist besides the ESN?

Did he give you his info to switch phones? You will need that to switch online or by calling in.

Nope nothing special but if you buy off craigslist meet the person at the Sprint store so they can go ahead a switch it over while your both there so there aren't any surprises.

You will need to make sure the phone is compatable with the rate plan that you are currently on. If it requires a plan change than the account holder will have to be the one to activate the phone.
