I hope.
Maybe by October 1st, Sprint will change their mind about the Nexus One, but on May 10, 2010, corporate released this:

You may recall Sprint announced in March that Nexus One, the first wireless phone sold through Google’s web store, would be coming to Sprint’s 3G Mobile Broadband Network.

With the upcoming availability of HTC EVO 4G, the world’s first 3G/4G Android phone available exclusively from Sprint; Nexus One from Google will not be coming to Sprint’s 3G Mobile Broadband Network.

And as a rep and former sup, I've heard nothing about Sprint allowing the new pda's on legacy plans, just for the record.

google just recieved their last shipment of nexus ones and after that they will be closing down their webstore... I dont think the nexus one is comming especially if google will be closing their webstore after they finish selling the N1.

Not sure I understand why they would do that. The Nexus one is very similar to the Hero. Sprint has already confirmed the Motorola I1 with android will not require a ED plan, available July 25

I had a tech support call like that 3 1/2 years ago when I first signed up for SERO. Since then I've never contacted Sprint once. I've had great service, and at $30/month I've saved about $1,680 based on a comparable plan with any other carrier. When I see the Sprint bill envelope arrive each month, I actually smile and feel good, as opposed to every other bill I get. So I'd say yeah- it's been worth it.

Nexus One is spec'd much higher than Hero, closer to Evo, w/o 4G. No carrier wants the N1 because it is too close to existing offerings and Google wanted to offer the option for people to buy standalone, which doesn't mesh with carrier goals like locking people into contracts. Also Google would control the software releases which is another black mark from the standpoint of carriers.

Nobody here really cares about I1 because it isn't CDMA and the data is pretty slow, < 1xRTT.

Thanks for the info, I didn't realize Google discontinued it. Nexus was a good handset, and I flirted with the idea of leaving Sprint to get one.

Interesting. This rumor started at late May, and seems to me somebody just kicked the ball again, keeps it rolling!!!!!!! I believe at sometime Aug, somebody will jump out and give you a time like black friday, doesn't that sound promising?
Look, if you want to use some Andriod phone now, you can do it by go to a $69 plan, and get 25% discount plus a chance of 10/24 credit, in that way, it's not that a difference than you get $30 + $10 sero, also you will be able to upgrade every year, so each year you can sell your used 'new' phone for a profit, a lot of people are doing this already and get rid of sero. Why wait?
For me, I don't care that much, just don't want to pay one cent more. TP2 works fine. and has a sim card slot.
More is that I don't believe Sprint will ever want to change that.

If you people really want an Android phone just man up and pay the extra charge. No point in going crazy for a couple of bucks. Sprint may or may not change their policy, they owe us nothing. Its their company and they chose who they want to do business.

Yes everyone it is true. My good friend at Sprint ( high management) told me that Android/WebOS will be available to the SERO customers starting Oct 1. It will be only $10 more and will include Sprint TV, Sprint Navigation, and Any Mobile Any time! That going to be 1 killer of a deal! If you have a SERO...By all means.....dont give it up. Any 4G phone will be $10 more.

Why does the bad grammar of this reply make me skeptical of its authenticity?
