I am currently on an old grandfathered plan, that is $95 unlimited everything family plan (includes two phones, AND Phone-as-Modem). Oddly does not include roaming minutes, but I got 150 added for free, and I do not roam much at all in the city.

I currently have 22% discount.

I was offered:
Everything Data Family 1500 for $129.99
-$20 recurring (if I renew 1 line for 2 years)
-$3 (if I renew the second line for 2 years)
-22% discount (existing)

It is $11 more a month, for 1500 versus unlimited minutes. The reason I called in and was offered this, is because I would like to get the Samsung Moment (and future android phones I'm sure). It is either switching, and paying $132 more per year, or going with expensive alternatives, such as the Touch Pro 2.

I'm trying to figure out a way to convert my 10 + 15 in to one 25 that will transfer. I can see not wanting to transfer endless credits and perks, but with the discounts - if they're both valid/confirmed legit they should really figure out a way to keep the same amount on the new plans.

Someone in ret. just said they removed all p3/5 and bonus minute codes so they can't add, but existing should transfer.

Looks like this is a fairly regular thing now, the 20 discount for 2 yrs. I too was offered this to switch to an ED plan from a really old pre-Sero plan.

I have a question about plans (is this the right thread to ask this? if not, sorry. please redirect me as needed)

I'm looking on sprint.com and looking at my "Add-ons" for my plan and I see all the options like "EVDO Casual, NW@7, Sprint M2M, etc" which is self-explanatory. However, I see a few items that show "Unknown Item $0.00" as well. What are those? Is there a way to find out?

Thanks!

edit: I figured I should start a new thread on that last question - so please disregard. SORRY!

Ret told me one discount can transfer, but all others drop off. This was with the 20 off - that's given for resigning a 2 yr.

I see no problem with having the 20 off discount and a corp discount. I was offered a 20 off and was told I could keep my corp discount myself. Just remember, the 20 off is only for 48 months.

I was told that discounts are different. I forget the specifics, but corporate/employer discounts are different than other affinity discounts, like bank/credit union membership. Some can stack, others cannot. I called today and was told that I can't keep my old USAA Affinity Discount ($3) as well as my $20 recurring credit. No stacking.

Yes, Sprint will honor what they said over the phone after you spend 6+ months calling them and having them tell you all is corrected only to find otherwise on next bill.
I did just get my first bill since switching to EDP and it did have the $20 recurring credit applied. No problems.

Did you all come right out and ask for the recurring $20 credit or negotiate using something else a comparison to get them to offer it?

Thats why you should try to do it through ecare, or demand they email you the details before you agree. However, ecare can't do much now, and they will "schedule a callback" which is what they are doing for me now. They actually looked in my notes and said "can't offer anything since executive already offered the 20 off" Which, meanwhile, is what everyone is getting offered.

If you have to do it over the phone, ask them to email it over while you're still on, and read it before okaying.

I was told the military + 20 recurring did stack.

The 20$ is pretty standard I think, unless you won't resign.

Ecare is such a pita sometimes. They just said:

Note: The $20.00 recurring discount and the 25% employee discount cannot
be applied together.

I am sorry but it is not possible to get both (rebates on the purchase
of new phone as well as the $70.00 agreement renewal credit). You can
have any of the them while renewing the Two-Year Subscriber Agreement.

Can anyone post a screenshot of the $20 and corp discount both on a bill? I am so sick of them giving us conflicting info, especially since were being expected to give up great plans and pay more for less. Is it really that tough to give us a rebate and a $70 credit???

You are supposed to get the $70 credit for extending your contract. You are also supposed to get the $150 rebate. However, some reps may not give you both at the same time.

What I usually do is get the credit first...
Then I wait a day and then call back to get the new phone.

I still don't understand how they decide whether the $20 can stack with the % discount. The rep who helped my friend originally said it's only one or the other. Then later said he could do both. th

It seems like it's really dependent upon the rep you get.

I'd suggest just get the $70 credit, then call back to get the $150 rebate the next day.

If you look at the fine print, the $70 instant credit still gives you 30 days to change your mind.

So if you don't get what you want, you still have 29 days to get your rebate before you cancel the 2 year extension.

In my experience, the upgrade is a quick check on when you last upgraded.

I'd be highly surprised if you couldn't get both.

Its doable, but the 25% corp + 20 recurring is the one I'm worried about. It adds up over years. I got the verbal ok by AS but cannot get anything in writing. Ecare TWICE emailed me specifically that it's one or the other.

At the moment, I qualify for a $150 phone rebate. I'm worried that once I renew for two years and take the $70 credit that I'll lose that $150 rebate immediately.

Is waiting a day necessary? I'd walk into Best Buy the same day and use the rebate if possible. (Given that I am switching from SERO, I might need to wait a day for the EDP plan to kick in before a store like Best Buy can activate the Android on it?)

When they offer somebody a $20 recurring credit, do they know about the corp discount on the account?

If that ecare says is true about one or the other, then if they do apply the recurring credit, they must necessarily not apply or remove the corp discount altogether.
