David Owens from Sprint said it like this.

Instinct line, webOs line , and Android line phones require the "Everything Data plans" and like plans ERPS and Family Share Data.

He did say that there a feature phones coming out that will work with SERO. They have not put the final nail in the coffin for SERO yet.

I'm looking forward to hearing your results (although I'm not awfully optimistic based on the data so far).

Let us know ASAP!

I'm not sure how Sprint uses the terminology, but in the general wireless industry, "feature phone" refers to a model segment above basic entry level voice phones but below smartphones with PDA, touchscreen and app install capability. So IMHO, this statement doesn't really help those of us looking at smartphones.

Sprint calls feature phones the same way. Not all of their smart phones have the plan requirements (unlike VZ and ATT). That could change also at Sprints descretion.
