Call Forwarding

Hello All,

I am Sprint user, just came from Tmobile. At Tmobile I was able to use Callwave to manage my voicemail. Its a service, like a few others, that transcribe you voicemail from voice to text which you then receive by email or SMS. In order for these services to work you must enable to call forwarding for all unanswered calls. Sprint is the only major provider to charge (besides for airtime) for using call forwarding service.

Please sign the following petition to get Sprint to stop these charges.

It takes less than 60 seconds to fill out:

Thank you,
Sheldon

While I'd be happy if Sprint decided not to charge for Call Forwarding, I think it is understandable that they do -- simply because it costs Sprint $$$ to forward a call from a Sprint number to a destination off of the Sprint network. Sprint would be paying for extra call termination charges. I could see Sprint offering to call forward to anothe SPRINT line, since that wouldn't cost Sprint much of anything. My guess is that Verizon and AT&T can offer this more easily because they own the landline networks as well.

In the meantime, you can do much the same thing using GrandCentral.com, no ?

Ya, good analysis. As far a GrandCentral goes. I have been with them before the google buyout. In my humble opinion it has not been as good since. It is supposed to text your email. However It rarely works for me.
