I just upgraded to a Hero last month, and renewed my contract.

My wife's phone just died and I'm looking at getting her a nice phone. Her phone is eligible for the upgrade discount for being over 2 years old.

Considering I'm already under contract for 2 years and it's the 2d phone on my account that is being upgraded, what is the cheapest way to upgrade, and is there any negotiating to be done to avoid the upgrade charge, shipping fees (if that's better than buying from a Sprint Store), and other charges? Or is it better just to go to a B&M and eat the sales tax?

Thanks for your help!

I've been having Internet connection issues on my HTC Touch Pro. I try to set the data connection to "On" in the comm settings, but it never connects, it just goes back off. I know I am in an area where there is a data connection available because it still refuses to connect in places where I was able to connect a while ago with no issues.

I would try to update my PRL to see if that has anything to do with it not connecting, but with no Internet connection, the update manager won't work.

I am getting a little fed up with this, and if there are any solutions other than calling tech support, I am open.

Also, I am not sure if this is in the right forum. I saw no tech support area.

I just installed my airave. All 4 lights are solid blue. It is hooked into a D-Link wbr-1310 router and all of the VPN passthrough options are checked on by default. My phone is the BlackBerry Tour. I now have the GPS antenna plugged in hoping that was the problem.

I have 3 issues. I'm assuming it is just 3 symptoms of 1 issue.

Issue #1 is the phone will only connect to the airave about 10% of the time.

Issue #2 is that when the phone does connect I can make a nice clear call for about 2 minutes. After that the phone just goes silent. The timer on the phone keeps going though but the call is gone.

Issue #3 is the system light will stay solid blue most of the time but then randomly flashes red ever once in a while. It might happen once per hour.

I have tried tech support but after 2 minutes the call gets dropped. Without the airave I don't get signal and I don't have another phone to use to call them. I keep trying with the airave turned off hoping that my phone will roam but it is not cooperating.

Any thoughts?
