My wife's phone just died and I'm looking at getting her a nice phone. Her phone is eligible for the upgrade discount for being over 2 years old.

Considering I'm already under contract for 2 years and it's the 2d phone on my account that is being upgraded, what is the cheapest way to upgrade, and is there any negotiating to be done to avoid the upgrade charge, shipping fees (if that's better than buying from a Sprint Store), and other charges? Or is it better just to go to a B&M and eat the sales tax?

Well, now you can check this out for yourself. I have added an app on my site (check profile) that allows you to type in your address, and you will get the distance and bearing to the nearest live tower.

As of today, only Austin information is in there, but the plan is to add San Antonio too. As long as CLEAR sends the data, I will keep it updated. This app would work for any location in the US, so if I can ever wrangle other city info from CLEAR, I will add it too.

I've tested this with quite a few addresses in Austin, and it seems to have all the bugs worked out, but if you see something weird, let me know. for my touchpro 2 and it doesn't fit AT ALL. I think I might be installing it incorrectly (maybe) but it seems rather intuitive--just snap it onto the device. I can't get the case to firmly secure the phone. Like tossing the phone gently from one hand to the other dislodges it. It's very frustrating! Can anyone either please point me in the right direction in getting this thing on or a better way to replace it than having to ship it back and wait for a return? Thanks in advance. I'm going nuts! Is there a way to change this? I can easily change the email accounts, but cannot find the setting for SMS/MMS character limits.

I try to set the data connection to "On" in the comm settings, but it never connects, it just goes back off. I know I am in an area where there is a data connection available because it still refuses to connect in places where I was able to connect a while ago with no issues.

I would try to update my PRL to see if that has anything to do with it not connecting, but with no Internet connection, the update manager won't work.

I am getting a little fed up with this, and if there are any solutions other than calling tech support, I am open.

The back button does nothing and I get nothing from the menu button also. It will usually take 30-45 seconds before it returns to normal, and if I had pushed the menu button during the hang up, it will open the menu options at that time. I can return to the home screen while this is happening and access all other functionality on the phone.

FYI - I upgraded to OS 4.7.1.57 within a few days of it's official release and have no other issues at this time.

Just curious if others are experiencing a similar problem.
