ok so now that we both know that the 700w will be out 8 weeks after the 700p....i think i'ma go and wait for the 700w just cuz i'm familiar with windows. my question is, what are the advantages/disadvantages to each? i don't really know much about Treo's so any info would be greatly appreciated

also had a question about using Aim on the Treo....uhm, is it similar to that of using Aim on a Sidekick??

Well it really boils down to the OS differences. Most people will tell you that PalmOS is easier to use, especially with one hand, there's more third party software available (I think), and I think the 700p is gonna have more memory than the 700w. If the Sprint 700w is the same as the Verizon 700w, then it'll have the same lackluster 32MB of RAM (MS says WM5 devices should have at least 64MB of RAM). Many 700w users complain about memory leaks and other such memory problems, but your mileage may vary. The 700w also has a lower screen resolution (240x240 as compared to the 700p's 320x320)

On the other hand, the 700w will probably be better for multimedia (orb, slingbox, native mp3/wma support).

I can't think of many other differences, but I think I'm going for the 700p simply because of the higher screen resolution and more memory.

^^Someone has some reading to do. One of the biggest parts about the 700 series (both p and w) is that they support power vision (Ev-DO).
