View Full Version : Finally figured out how to change the backlight time on the A840!

Okay guys-

So I'm sitting in my 2nd block band class, playing with my phone (as usual). So I'm messing around with the settings and I started playing with the backlight on the main display. Then I realized that when the main LCD display is on, the Sub LCD display is on, and vice versa. So, in order to change the backlight time on your Sub LCD, change it with the main LCD function. For example, if you wanted the backlight on your Sub LCD to stay on for 8 seconds, go to menu, settings, display, backlight, main display, and click 8 seconds. The only downside to this function is that the main LCD will only stay on this long as well. Hope that clears some questions. Also right now, I'm gonna go work with Sprint and try and figure out the updates.

It's all good, glad to hear you got it to work. Its too bad you cant have the inside & outside set differently though.

yeah maybe one day sprint will update the software to do that. Sprint can make software updates like that, can't they?

There is a software update right now. the old was YH09. it is now ZA26. Youll probably have to take it into a store to update it, mine wont update over the air for some reason.
